Three Little Words:
Words, we use them daily. Sometimes out loud to others, sometimes in our heads to ourselves. And vice versa. The words we choose have the power to inspire and heal or to crush and tear down. And I would like to ask you…. how carefully do you choose your words?
This is an important question and one I had to ask myself. When I spent my days frustrated and angry and confused I would use words that painted me as a victim, as incompetent, and as a looser. In order to heal I had to find empathy for myself and leave the judgements behind. I had to change the dialogue in my head from one of an inner critic to tapping into my inner wisdom. To using words of love and caring and not words out of fear and darkness.
Are you ready to use your words for good… Start at home. First with the conversations you have with yourself. Then with those around you. Start with awareness; when you hear the critic switch to empathy. Use blameless discernment to acknowledge the events without the harsh critic.
Know that life is perfectly imperfect. That as long as we are breathing we are learning and growing.
